Tessellation Project

In Geometry, we just finished learning all the characteristics of polygons. ( Regular and non-regular) So I decided it was time to do something creative with the help of the Art department. My students hand cut out with the help of templates there very own individual patterns. They traced these patterns onto an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper. They had to then hand draw features on the paper so that it appeared we had a repeating pattern. Once finished and decorated, we judge for the best one. Oh my gosh! Some of the students are amazing in there artistic talents.
